Christopher Taylor Cabin

In 1788, future U.S. president Andrew Jackson spent several months in Jonesborough awaiting a caravan. Jackson lodged at the cabin belonging to Major Christopher Taylor, located about a mile outside of town. Built around 1777 and subsequently in 1974, this cabin was removed from its original spot and reconstructed in the town's park. According to local legend, Jackson's ghost occasionally appears in the cabin's vicinity. The ghost supposedly walks up to the front door and disappears into the building. The ghost has also been seen walking down the street, in the direction of the old courthouse.

UPDATE: Sparky gets his FURever home...

This weekend Sparkydog got his FURever home... and I am devastated. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he has a good home with a big yard full of squirrels. You never know how emotionally invested you are in a pooch until you have to let him go. He has a new buddy 'Howie', and has already started taking off with his toys, grabbing a seat on the couch and just being Sparky. I guess I'll just keep waiting on a phone call for me to come get him... this isn't gonna be easy.

We still have Sparky...

Ok, time to turn on the burners... we still have Sparky and he needs a FURever home. If you haven't considered a scottie, now is the time to do it. I will caution you... we caught Sparky asleep on Ian's bed and the cats were on it with him. There, I said it... Sparky likes cats (or doesn't care about them one way or another). This is a great scottie, you should meet him. Now get busy, and lets find him a FURever home!

Ian and Sparky dog at South Holston Weir Dam...

Of course you are going to have fun when you are at the lake... or the dam. Sparky still needs a FURever home so get out there and spread the love.

UPDATE: Sebastian AKA Sebo AKA Puddles AKA... well, you know what I mean.

Would you believe Sebastian (Sebo/Puddles) is living the high life and has sent a photo for proof. I guess when you have your own couch you've hit the big time. Word is he has decided to take on some more humans for personal use and gain... I guess a scottie needs servants like a fish needs water.
