Christmas at the cabin...

Several years ago we spent Christmas at the cabin. It was a wish from my mom that we were glad to help grant. The stories we could tell...

Sad News about Duffy (Kimble)...

You may remember the rag muffin wheaton Scottie we were able to help rescue this year. It appears he's not doing well. Apparently he's had to get a few outside jobs to make ends meet. He now has part-time employment as 'Batman', 'The Dread Pirate Roberts' and has some leaf cleaning chores. It has been brought to our attention that everyone who meets Duffy wants to take him away from this life of hard work. Even a gentleman who is close to the new keepers has taken to making up stories just to get him home with him. Its a shame... a real shame.

Please help!

We are trying to identify the condition 'Scottie' and 'Duffy' are in... It appears this occurs after vigorous, roustabout, frapping sessions. This worries us as 'Duffy' was a rescue (now being loved on by Christy M). We are afraid his new friend 'Scottie' (if that's his real name) may have contributed to this loss of energy and total state of exhaustion. Please help us find a cure...

Guess who got in trouble...

Sometimes cats are just low hanging fruit... and this is a good place to hide while reflecting on your deeds.

UPDATE: Kimble gets his 'forever' home...

As you can see Kimble got his 'forever' home this morning. He'll be enjoying spending time with Christy and TJ in middle Tennessee. It was licks all around and a happy family in the making. Christy promised to bring him to the scottie rescue picnic next year so come by and see one lucky dog!

Kimble - ready for adoption

Dreadlocks... ticks... no love

but a happy puppy... and then he was groomed and taken care of so take a look.

Here's Kimble our latest rescue. He was named after Dr. Richard Kimble of Fugitive fame. This little fellow was abandoned and left to fend for himself. He got in trouble when a 4 year old at a campground was allowed to pull on his fur. She did and he bit... So, off to the pound. He had dreadlocks, 1" toenails and more ticks than you can imagine. We picked 18 just off his head...
So, now he's been to the vet. Got all his shots and was 'tutored'. He is currently available for adoption so contact Ginger McAfee at http://scottierescue.com for an application.
He's a sweetheart with tons of loving to give to the right family. Don't wait...
