UPDATE: 14 years and one day later, we lost the Queen... Happy BARKday Ms. Maddie! 13 Years Young...

Ms. Maddie is 13 years young! Whether you know it or not, this is the Queen Bee of our Scottie Clan in Chattanooga. Her humans, Shelby and Doug, have been given the privilege of serving her for quite a while. Ms. Maddie goes through each day holding up the standards of a scottie as no other can. Her ability to let the common person gaze upon her in awe, yet then turn her back with complete disregard is unmatched. The 'most interesting man in the world' couldn't stand a chance with this regal queen. She may be small in stature, but she is a giant in the field of scotties. When you look in the dictionary under the term 'attitude', you'll only see a photo of Ms. Maddie.

Not a fan of camping, Ms. Maddie will suffer a trip or two a year just to let the average person get a glimpse of her greatness. She only lets her closest humans interact on a semi-personal level with her. Most often, humans tend to bore her with their stares, gazing and photos. A beautiful girl with such presence... and most of the time, you'll only get a look at her back. Ms. Maddie will turn her back on those who just don't understand their place in life when compared to her. It isn't a mean thing, its just the way it is...

Because of Ms. Maddie (and her buddy Big 'D' Donovan), we have the crew we do. She has been instrumental in giving so many scotties a second shot in life (although she won't discuss her part due to her ability to control her pride).

So, Happy BARKday to Ms. Maddie! May you reign FURever! AAarrrrRRrrrooOOoooo!

Bella and her puppies...

After a rough few months on her own, Bella is happy with her puppies. It seems her human died, and the folks who were given care of her didn't want her. So, they tossed her out to live on her own. It appears she fell in with a NON-Scottie and well, the rest is history. Tennessee Scottie Rescue went to central KY and worked with a cat rescue group to catch her. While at the groomer... SURPRISE! She went into labor... 4 puppies and several hundred miles later, she is getting the care she needs. Get ready to give a puppy its new FURever home and then, Ms. Bella will be good to go also.
